Had an okay day today. Still nice to be back, I'm a wee bit cold but I'll get used to it, still so glad to be home again :) Some bits of today were weird though, otherwise its been a good day.
Tried to have a lie in, but Carl got up at 7am for work and I couldn't manage to get back to sleep. Watched the rest of the 'Gymnast' film on BBC iPlayer and headed back to my flat for a little bit to get ready...
We headed into Edinburgh this afternoon to watch the Scotland vs. Italy rugby game at Murrayfield Stadium. Good game, Scotland won and the weather was nice-ish too :) I like rugby, prefer to watch it live at the stadium than on TV, makes it so much better. And I'm getting there with my understanding of the game - not too many silly, stupid questions today.
Spent tonight snuggled up on the sofa watching Stardust :) now Carl's watching Match of the Day.
Can't stop yawning, been a long day! I cannot wait for a lie in tomorrow morning.

Spain Day 9 and 10
Sorry I thought I had updated this yesterday!
Day 9 - Me and Vero ventured to Aqua, a shopping centre we'd usually go to, and met up with the old friend again. We had lunch at a place called Lemongrass, lovely chinese food :) couldn't quite manage to finish it all, bit too much, but still tasted fantastic! Then did a bit of shopping, grabbing a few things on my 'to buy in Spain' list. Old friend left after not too long. And me and Vero ventured to a little cafe place to grab ice cream/granizado de limon/horchata... for a change! The rest of the afternoon was spent at Vero's house, out in the pool and sunbathing and taking photos on the underwater camera. We went out on the night to Heron City to go and chill out and see about getting my tattoo... However for five tiny little roman numerals he wanted to charge €70, so fair to say I turned that down. Didn't see the point when I could get it done back in the same place I got my last one in Stirling, by a person I know will do a good job and not charge a ridiculous fortune for! I think me and Vero were both a little disappointed about not getting the tattoo done, but such as life! Still a good night though, had an awesome chocolate crepe and a frozen yoghurt at Smöoy and then came back home.
Day 10 - Last day here today. Got up early to head into the centre of Valencia and get the underwater photos developed. We couldn't pick them up until the afternoon so we had a little wander around some shops and got a horchata before heading back to Vero's to chill for the rest of the day. Spent a couple of hours out in the pool and sunbathing and then got dressed and headed back to Heron City to go to a free viewing at this 5D movie thing they just opened. It was quite good if a little disturbing, what with a cartoon elephant being electrocuted and wasps flying out at your face as if they were going to sting you. But it was a good idea the whole thing, the chairs vibrated and moved and air and water was blown in your face, and a rope thing flicked at your legs along with the 3D film. Don't quite think it can be described as a 5D experience but then again, they're only just testing it. We then went back into Valencia again (dejá vu, no?) to collect the photos from the development place - crossing roads to avoid people we really didn't expect or want to see. And back to Vero's, again. My suitcase is all packed now and had a lovely long shower. Think I've managed to get a bit of a tan whilst I've been here, a little bit at least... Looking forward to being home though, and looking forward to cuddles again :)

Spain Day 8
Or at least I think we're on Day 8 now, I'm sure we are...
Had a bit of a lazy morning today, but the rest of the day picked up. Ventured into Valencia centre to wander around in the sun and shop a bit. However, it was a festival so most of the place was competely dead. Not a single person when we walked in from the car. We did find a few little shops open though which were rather cool. Got a little sew on badge of a Spanish flag for my blanket (when I get the blanket and make it!!). Had some ice cream too, one scoop of horchata which was fantastic, and a scoop of baileys which was alright - could have been better. We then went to El Palmer to see the sunset, saw some fish too. Then back into Valencia to meet up with an old friend (not much to say about that) and wander around, have something to eat and chill. Eventually stopped at a cool bar in El Carmen, but I can't remember what it was called, hopefully I will because it was awesome, and I loved the white wine there :) on our way back to the house now to get some sleep.

Spain Day 7
Currently at one of those drive-in cinemas like in American movies, watching Something Borrowed. Already seen Zookeeper, which I thought was one of the worst movies ever, talking animals and a terrible story, and the Spanish dub over didn't make it any better. But we're outside in the car which makes it alright :)
Today's been a better day anyway. Went on a mini walk around Valencia and went to the cathedral and up the tower. All 203 steps of it! But its nice when you get to the top, nice and sunny with a little breeze, and you can see for miles, the whole city, the sea and mountains.
We then went to the place that has the best horchata. And it really is the best :)
Anyway, going to finish the film!

Spain Day 5 and 6
Sorry I'm not keeping up with all this here... I'm going to blame the fact we've been having really late nights! I'll try and be better.
Well on Friday, we ventured to Cullera for the day and most of the night. Got a bit lost on the way due to an argument between the GPS (again) and which way Nerea thought we should go! We got there in the end though. Went for a walk along the beach front, got crepes and waffles and ice cream and horchata. We then met up with Roco and went swimming in the pool for a little bit attempting to take photos with the underwater camera, however this might not have worked all too well given that we all couldn't see great underwater with the chlorine! We then got ready to go out for the night. Another little wander along the beach front and went for dinner, Roco invited us to a Chinese :) which was lovely! Sat on the beach for a while and had a little drink but then me and Vero were too excited and like little kids and went on the trampolines at the mini fair and bounced around for 5 minutes which was completely knackering so we rewarded ourselves with an ice lolly and granizado de limón. Anyway, we stopped by the club where Roco was working for about 15 minutes - don't like clubbing in Spain, the guys are just disgusting and complete sleazy pigs (I'm trying to keep the language clean here haha). Plus we were tired so we headed back to Valencia at 4am, went to bed and simply crashed.
Yesterday, we had a lie in, given that we got to bed so late the night before. Lunch with Vero's parents, had some fantastic paella and ended up super full. Me and Vero then went to Bonaire, one of the shopping centres we always used to go to. But we were bitterly disappointed. We had a system of walking around the place which was ruined immediately when we found that everything had changed and our crepes stall had disappeared. We then had to go and find a crepes stall first, but it was no where near as good, so the disappointment continued! We did do a bit of shopping. Vero buying more "pretty things" again. I made a trip to Belros, and bought lots of sweets and I mean lots of sweets. But mostly for my brother though! After 4 hours there, and we have no idea how quickly time managed to pass, we thought we were there 2 maybe 3 hours at the most, we headed back to Vero's house. We then got some things together for a late night picnic on the beach where we sat, listened to music, snacked and played with the non-round ball! Gymnastics on the beach is not a good idea - Vero laughed whilst I was in the middle of throwing myself over my head, made me laugh, to which my arms collapsed and I had a face full of sand! Sand everywhere - all in my hair, my eyes, up my nose, down my top! I'm still finding sand everywhere. Off for a shower in a minute though which should sort out that problem!
Plans for today are already in place! Just need to get showered, ready and eat. I'll try my best to update this later today with today's events!

Spain Day 3 and 4
Sorry I missed the update yesterday. Diving sort of knackered us out, and I really couldn't be bothered to write at all. Just wanted to go to bed.
Nothing much really happened yesterday though. We went on our first dice in the sea which stressed me out a little bit. One, the sea is a very open space and I could easily drift off, especially as there was a lot of current underneath as well. Which I didn't like at all. And secondly, we had to fill our masks underwater (which in the swimming pool is fine but salt water...) which I had a panic attack about and ended up having to go to the surface and calm myself down... Didn't like that at all. Felt like I was going to drown. Today we took off our masks in the sea, which was a lot easier. Keeping it on and filling it, it felt a bit claustrophobic and even though I had the thing in my mouth to breathe, felt like I couldn't breath and I was trapped underneath the water.
The evening was again, the same. We went to the beach promenade thing and went to all the little hippy market stalls (where Vero bought every piece of jewellery with a pretty shiny stone possible) and then we got ice cream and horchata and sat on the beach and chilled a bit listening to the waves. We drew a 'circle of protection' to sit in on the sand - well really I was bored and dragged my foot around in a massive circle where we were sitting. But it clearly worked as no one stepped in it and kept clearly away.
Today was a bit better in terms of diving. We were up much earlier though to do two dives - we went out on the boat this time, which I wasn't all that keen on being a bit sea-sick but it wasn't too bad! The first dive we did at La Pared Negra (that was really pretty and on top of the cliff there was the best house ever that I want to buy and live in now, so cool!). We spent an hour down there, and it was a lot better than being in the sea yesterday. Only there was more rocks and I was worried about hitting them all the time. The second dive we moved a bit away because lots of people had gathered to Cabo San ... Something... Can't remember the names exactly. There's quite a few Cabo San ... in Javea! [it was Cabo San Martin] We changed bottles and went back in (throwing ourselves backwards off the boat which was scary). It was a lot better there, and we got down to about 18m, and saw loads of fish, starfish, octupuses (errrr I'm scared of them so I wasn't that interested!) and barricuda as well! Vero saw a lobster but I didn't. However she spent most of her time not paying attention, floating around and trying to touch fish. It was good though. But I'm glad to say that its over now. And we have our certificate and are officially Open Water Divers and can go diving whenever we want! I think I'll stick to lakes though. The sea scares me a little.
Anyway, in Valencia now. Super tired and off to bed. Not had the best of days, in a weird mood and exhausted and stressed from the dives in the sea. Missing Carl lots too. Spain Day 2
Currently sat on the beach eating ice cream and drinking lemon slushy things :)
Today we had our last diving class and the mini exam (which we passed, of course, it wasn't that hard - mainly common sense). Then on our lunch break we made salad, and then went for a little wander along the beach and had a little nosy in the beach shops. Then back to the swimming pool for the last time to practice again and do the last few exercises. Tomorrow is the first immersion in the sea, which is a bit worrying because we could float off and get lost or drown and there's not a floor at 2 metres to rescue us!!! I'm sure we'll be fine!!
Anyway, tonight we got back, got a shower and came out to the beach, to get something to eat and have a walk and chill out. We ended up walking the whole beach, looking at all the little market stalls, and I bought two beachy type bracelets. Then we stopped where we had lunch yesterday and I had a salad. Oh and we might have just had a cocktail each :) which was very nice. Its been nice to be able to come out on a night and sit outside and chill and have a drink and hear the waves. And for it to be a comfortable temperature to sit in... Although I must admit, I am missing Stirling though.
Going to head back to the hostel in a minute and get some sleep, up early for the sea dive tomorrow! Wish us luck!

Spain Day 1
First day of holiday in Spain. Got here last night but it doesn't really count all the much and not much happened other that getting a bit lost because the GPS decided to avoid all main roads and sent us down tiny, winding country roads instead. When we finally got to the hostel in Javea, we just sat out on the balcony chatting and catching up.
Had diving class this morning at 9.30am to go over the basics from the book. Then a lunch break where we went to eat at a little place at the beach. Then back for diving at 4pm, where we got all kitted up and taken to the swimming pool. The neopreme wetsuits are just such a good look - oh and not to mention the squidgy neopreme shoes as well! Vero has to get a new suit tomorrow, they're giving her a smaller size because she's too short and today's suit was too long and bunched up everywhere. Her new nickname is now going to be Michelin Man! Breathing underwater for the first time is rather weird, and difficult when you're having a fit of giggles ("I feel like a penguin" - Vero) and then the instructor 'haciendo el jillipollas' didn't help either... But it was all good fun, and rather cool, even just in the swimming pool. Vero is doing alright as my diving partner - although I'm not sure if I can fully trust her to save me yet and on top of that I'm most likely going to lose her when we're out at sea, she'll get distracted by a pretty fish and swim off!!! Hopefully she won't, she'll most likely just grab the back of my jacket and drag me with her!
Tomorrow there's class again at 9.30, then a mini exam to make sure we have understood everything and one last time in the swimming pool - then we'll be let out to the sea after that!! A bit tired after today but not too bad - need a shower, but after being in the water for over an hour, I'm not too keen on getting wet again. My fingers went all wrinkly today from it, and I don't like it :p suppose we better make something to eat for dinner later as well. And have an earlier nights sleep too!!
Anyway, that's all from me today! More tomorrow, let's see if we pass this exam ;) should be no bother.

Only a day until I go to Spain, so trying to get organised for that - doing laundry, attempting to pack, tidying the flat etc. Think most of that s going to take place tonight, don't think I'll sleep too well tonight anyway. Sorry about not posting for a while. Been rather busy with work and trying to get ready for my trip to Spain... I think I'm mostly ready, minus being rather behind on getting the diving book studied and the little tests at the end of the chapters. Other important things have been done though... minus the bikini shopping - don't really want to do that!
Other than that, things have been pretty uneventful. Spending time with Carl, and working. Not much else. Started watching It's Always Sunny in Philidelphia, which turned out to be rather funny. Oh and watched Super tonight... that was good, but rather weird. And I mean rather weird... Ah well.
Don't really know what else to say. Back to work tomorrow, last shift before my holiday, so I should be happy about that at least...
Oh and saw this trailer today... think I'll be watching this when it comes out, just got to wait until February 2012....
