Been a busy little bee

Sorry for the lack of blogging the past few days, been a busy week. Quite a lot of working and generally being busy.

Had a rather relaxing day today though, had a rather big lie-in. And then ditched plans at the cinema because it was such lovely weather again. So went on a wander up to the Wallace Monument and did a bit of sunbathing instead :) I think I'm now a slight shade off pasty white! Oh and there was ice cream involved as well, no surprise there!

Might be off to the cinema later... To see Captain America. Depends though, not entirely set in stone plans. Otherwise its snuggling up to watch Despicable Me.

I'll try and write more this next coming week...

Later dudes x

Cute Little Animals

Carl is giving me some 'private' while I write this.. aww he's cute when he forgets his English :)

Laziest Lion ever...

Today we went to Blair Drummond Safari Park because we've been meaning to go for a little day out there for ages and there was no excuse today really as the sun was out and shining again. So after a waiting in a bit of a queue of traffic for a few miles (everyone seemed to have the same idea as us) we finally got there. I had a wee bit of a panic attack when entering the drive-through reserve, paranoid that a bunch of monkeys would jump the car and attack us and this wasn't helped when I read the sign saying "If the rhinos approach your car, drive away slowly..." But the drive through ended up to be rather uneventful.

Simplessss ;)

We had a wander through the rest of the park for a couple of hours and had an ice-cream or two. Think the little meerkats have to be my favourite, so adorable. I want one.

Oh there were Elephants too
Ermm what else? Apart from seeing chimps and elephants and zebras and giraffes, we just had a nice little walk around and got some sun, which I think I needed. I am proud to say I am now a shade of 'off pasty-white' and maybe a wee bit burnt on the top of my chest but just a little bit.

Doune Castle
We then went up to Doune to see the castle, mainly because Carl wanted to say he'd been to Doune and because we were going to watch Monty Python Holy Grail and found out the castle had been in it. Sort of a bit movie geekish a little, but nevermind, its a nice castle.
:)
And a nice picture from the top of it :) We went for a bit of food after that and now back up at the cottage. Just watched 'Life in a Day', coincidentally exactly one year on from when it was all filmed. Quite a good film, bit emotional in some parts, but amazing if you think about it. Off to bed soon for us I think, we're absolutely knackered, been a long day in the sun, but worth every minute. Another really good day and I'm still feeling very happy. Work tomorrow though, it will all change... x

Another good day :)

Another good day, and I'm still all smiley and happy :)

Carl went to work this morning and I stayed in the wee cottage and attempted a lie-in which failed. I also made a start on the diving book which is good. Later we ventured into town in the sunshine for a wander around the shopping centre and then to get food and made a lovely salad for dinner.

Got a new memory card for my camera today. Grabbed a bargain in Cash Converters so now have 4gb to take photos on, thats around 6000 odd photos... compared to my measly 200 odd that the old one would take. This could be dangerous :D

Anyhow, off to watch Robin Hood (the cartoon version, obviously) and then The Time Traveler's Wife (I was promised that we would watch it, finally) haha

Love and peace out x

Smiles and Photos

Had a really good day today :)

Started off with lunch at Nandos with Carl and then a trip next door to the cinema to watch Horrible Bosses, which actually was rather funny, better than I expected it to be.

Little walk around the back of the castle
Now you should expect a few photos, I did take a few today, but only from my phone so they aren't the greatest.

Weird but cool wooden carved thing
Ít was a nice evening so we went on a wander around the back of the castle and into the wee foresty walk bit (with the creepy, sneaky rabbits and the one little squirrel).

Stirling Castle
Oh and then we ventured to the Kings Knot and sat down for 5 minutes or so to enjoy the bit of sun... And then we wandered back up the evil hill towards the castle and back to the cottage to snack on chocolate muffins and watch The I.T Crowd.

Smile :)
And a nice smiley/being blinded by the sun photo :)

Anyway, off to bed I think. Night world x

Falling asleep to the sound of rain

Trying to get a good night's sleep to see if that helps and maybe I won't feel so exhausted tomorrow. So far... well I'm clearly not asleep yet.
I feel sleepy, just can't quite seem to get to sleep. Would probably help if I put my computer down for good - difficult when it's still turned on, but then it needs to be for the purpose of listening to the sound of rain and hoping that helps me drift off.

Sleeping alone to night as well, which I'm sort of glad about because I really think I could do without the early morning wake-up and have a lie-in instead.

So here's to trying to sleep... again...

A little update :)

Sorry there's not been much blogging the past few days, with the exception of posting the new RHCP song, but I don't really think that counts as a decent post.

Been a busy few days, two split shifts in a row at work, followed by another early morning today for a psychology experiment. And lots of napping in between. Don't know what's wrong with me - feeling exhausted all the time. I suppose I have been on my feet all day for the past two days, and then this morning's experiment, staring at a black computer screen with flashing white words for 2-3 hours won't have helped much either. Ah well, we'll see how I'm feeling in a couple of days. No more work for this week :)

Not much else has happened really. I really need to make a start on the diving course book. I've read a bit of it, but there's 3 chapters and exercises to get through and complete. And it really isn't that long until I go to Spain! I did buy a little notebook yesterday though for it, I guess that´s a start...

Oh and I got a lovely bunch of flowers from Carl which really made me smile. Although I think I need to work on my flower arranging skills...

Well, I'm off to try and resist another little nap... they creep up on you, they really do x

Just a little test to see if this works. Emailing a new blog post from my phone... Fingers crossed :)

Oreo Milkshake

Carl's making me milkshake ♥

Pizza

Sorry there was no decent posting the past day or two. I wasn't in the mood yesterday and some things are just not going to get written up here as well.

Had a good day today though. Made homemade pizza which was lovely (although admittedly not as good as when my mother makes it but it was my first try so I will use that as my excuse).

Now just going to snuggle up on the sofa and watch a movie. Due Date, I think. Milkshake would be good right now, think Carl should make me milkshake :)

That's all for today anyway, there may be more tomorrow x

Every word you say I think I should write down... ♫
